Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. When you visit a page, the hosting provider processes technical data needed to deliver it (for example IP address, time, requested page, browser type) in server logs. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure website). Vercel may process data in the USA; transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses. Vercel processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Log data is kept only as long as needed for operation and security, then deleted automatically.
Your Germany Checklist
Your answers are stored only in the page address (URL), so you can bookmark or share them. Which steps you ticked off is stored in your browser's local storage on your device. Neither is sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data. This storage is strictly necessary for a function you requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
Provider links
When you click a provider button, you pass through our redirect address (/go/…). We record an anonymous event: which provider, from which page, the position on the page and the type of button, plus a timestamp. We do not record your IP address, device or any identifier, and we set no cookies. The provider's own website — and, for partner links, the affiliate network — may set cookies under their own privacy policies once you arrive there.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent)
If you click “Allow analytics”, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”), to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited and how visitors move between them. Google Analytics then sets cookies on your device (such as _ga and _ga_…) and processes usage data such as pages viewed, time of visit, approximate location derived from the IP address (Google does not store the IP address itself in GA4), device and browser information. This data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. Without consent, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future: . Data is kept for the retention period configured in our Google Analytics property and then deleted by Google.
Fonts
Fonts are served from our own domain. No request is made to Google when you load a page.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
