About Anfänger
Anfänger is German for “beginner”. In German bureaucracy, that is everyone at first.
Germany runs on registrations, numbers and letters — and they depend on each other. You need an address to register, a registration for a tax ID, a tax ID for your first payslip. Nobody explains the order. Anfänger does.
What we do
- Explain each task in plain English, with the German word you will see on the form.
- Put tasks in order, by life event and in your personal checklist.
- Separate national rules from what is different in your city.
- Link every rule to its official source and show when we last checked it.
- Compare providers from a newcomer's point of view, with a public method.
What we don't do
- We are not a government website, law firm, tax advisor or insurance broker.
- We don't collect your personal data or ask you to sign up.
- We don't let commissions decide which provider comes first.
